Masham Sheep Fair Organisers

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to run the Masham Sheep Fair. It's completely volunteer-run. We have a large and active committee, with everyone playing their part. Sometimes we wonder how it happens, but so far everything has fallen into place and come together.

You may recognise some of these characters? I don't have photos of all the committee so some will have to remain anonymous (the women on the committee are all too busy to get their photo taken). Many have been involved since the very first sheep fair 40 years ago, and are now well over 50... yet they keep on going.

We're grateful for all the support offered by all the volunteers, both on the committee and on the day, for the many supportive local businesses and residents, our sponsors, exhibitors, traders, and our visitors.

We do all this in aid of local charities including Yorkshire Air Ambulance, so thank you to everyone who buys a programme, pays for parking and supports in any way.
